What a rent receipt should include
- Tenant's and landlord's names, and the landlord's PAN where needed.
- Address of the rented property.
- Rent amount in figures and words, the month it is for, and how it was paid.
- Date, and the landlord's signature.
Cash receipts above ₹5,000 usually carry a revenue stamp — the generator leaves a box for it when you choose cash.
Use it only for genuine payments
Receipts are evidence that rent was actually paid. Create them only for real payments, with the correct landlord, amount and months — submitting a false receipt (for example to claim HRA) is unlawful. LeaseHub360 does not issue or verify these receipts; the landlord's signature makes them valid.
Privacy
The receipts are created in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded or stored by us.
For landlords with many tenants
If you issue receipts every month to several commercial tenants, LeaseHub360 records each payment against its invoice and generates numbered receipts automatically.
Frequently asked questions
Is a rent receipt needed for HRA?
Employers usually ask for rent receipts to allow the HRA exemption, and often the landlord's PAN when the yearly rent is above ₹1,00,000. Check your employer's requirements.
